As of 2017, IT firms in Bengaluru employ about 1.5 million employees in the IT and IT-enabled services sectors, out of nearly 4.36 million employees across India and account for the highest IT-related exports in the country. In 2014, Bangalore contributed US$ 45 billion, or 38 per cent of India’s total IT exports.

Estimated Metro GDP of the city is around US$210 billion, and it has been ranked as third most productive metro area of India.


It is called silicon valley of India.It was because of Mr.SM KRISHNA who brought up many software companies under one roof and additional advantage being Infosys head office is located in bangalore which was used as tool for competition along with wipro and satyam in the initial stage .Later stage many companies flew down to trap the talented person in their companies.
